Manifesta 7

The “Two Pieces" exhibition in the Templespace of the Kiscelli Museum shows two 2008 projects by Little Warsaw. The “Ship of Fools” film project, a co-production with Manifesta and ACAX, and made in association with Miklós Erhardt, is being shown in the nave of the church space.

The “Ship of Fools” is an adaptation of an event which happened in a small town in northern Italy. In 2002, a local anarchist group occupied a building in Rovereto. Their endeavour ended in eviction. The building was one of the venues of Manifesta 7 in Italy in 2008.

The authors, Miklós Erhardt and Little Warsaw, unpacked the urban legend which emerged during the squat and the eviction. In the reconstruction – distancing from the original surroundings – Hungarian actors revived the details of the events.
